SWINE FLU IN MUSLIM COUNTRIES

"Oh People of Imaan! Eat of the pure things (Halal) that We have provided for you, and be grateful to Allah" - (Al-Baqarah 2:172)

In Muslim Countries pigs are HARAM and peoples consume HALAL meat so it is not possible that swine flue overcome in these Countries. There is no Pigs Forming so peoples has no direct contact with infected Pigs.

Why PIGIS HARAM IN ISLAM

I am sure many muslims have some point in there life been asked the question Why is the eating of pork forbidden in your religion?
Some brothers and sisters cannot give a reply good enough to convince the person asking the question that Pork really is not made for human consumption. Here is an article that might help.

Why Pork is Haram to eat?
There are many reasons as to why Pig meat is forbidden for human consumption. First simple reason is that in Islam you must always slaughter the animal from the neck this is for the benefit of the animal itself so the animal dies quick and less painfully, Pig however has no neck therefore Islamically it is impossible to slaughter a Pig even if it was Halal(permissable). There are many scientific reasons as to why Pork is not fit for human consumption:

Dr. Goldsborough’s article went on to say, “In the flesh of a pig, the trichinae are often so minute, and so nearly transparent, that to find them, even with a microscope, is a task for expert scientific inspection. Remember this, when you see stamped on a pork product the words, “US Government inspected and passed“, those words do not mean that any official inspection has been made as to whether this pork is trichinous or not. It only means it has merely passed the routine inspection given meat in general.”

Dr. Maurice C. Hall as Chief of the Division of Zoology of the US Public Health Service commented, “It appears to be a legitimate demand that, when a man exchanges dollars for pork, he should not do it, on the basis that he may be purchasing his death warrant.”

Senator Thomas C. Desmond, who served as chairman of the New York Trichinosis Commission stated, “Physicians have confused trichinosis with some 50 ailments, ranging from Typhoid Fever to Acute Alcoholism.” Continuing, he states, “That pain in your arm or leg may be arthritis or rheumatism, but it may be trichinosis. That pain in your back may mean a gall-bladder involvement, but it may mean trichinosis.”

Swine Flu is a contagious respiratory disease that causes outbreaks in pigs year-round. The virus can spread to people who have contact with infected pigs. It spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes around someone else. People can become infected by touching something with the flu virus on it and then touching their mouth, nose, or eyes.

If all Muslims take care in meeting with those peoples or Countries which are infected with Swine Flu than there are less chances of Sine Flu spread in there countries .

We And Our Skin

You know that skin is the largest organ of our body, providing around 11% of our body. and it covers an average area of 1.8 m2.Such a large and easily accessible organ apparently offers ideal and multiple sites to administer therapeutic agents for both local and systemic actions, our skin is a highly efficient self-repairing barrier designed to keep inside and outside.
Our skin is a highly complex organ though in many transdermal drug delivery studies it is often regarded somewhat simplistically as merely a physical barrier. In vivo, skin is in a process of continual regeneration, Our has immunological and histological responses. Due to experimental and ethical difficulties, most transdermal drug delivery studies tend to utilize skin ex vivo (in vitro) which inherently reduces some of the above complexity – regeneration stops, immune responses cease and metabolic activity is usually lost in these studies. However, it should always be borne in mind that data obtained from excised skin may not translate directly to the in-vivo situation.
For the purpose of transdermal drug delivery, we can examine the structure and function of human skin categorised into four main layers :

1. the innermost subcutaneous fat layer (hypodermis)

2. the overlying dermis

3. the viable epidermis

4. the outermost layer of the tissue (a non-viable epidermal layer) the

stratum corneum.

1.Hypodermis, bridges between the overlying dermis and the underlying body constituents. In most areas of the body this layer is relatively thick, typically in the order of several millimetres. However, there are areas of the body in which the subcutaneous

fat layer is absent, such as the eyelids. This layer of adipose tissue principally serves to insulate the body and to provide mechanical protection against physical shock. The subcutaneous fatty layer can also provide a readily available supply of high-energy molecules, whilst the principal blood vessels and nerves are carried to the skin in this layer.

2.The dermis is typically 3–5 mm thick and is the major component of human skin. It is composed of a network of connective tissue, predominantly collagen fibrils providing support and elastic tissue providing flexibility, embedded in a mucopolysaccharide gel (Wilkes et al.,1973). In terms of transdermal drug delivery, this layer is often viewed as essentially gelled water, and thus provides a minimal barrier to the delivery of most polar drugs, although the dermal barrier may be significant when delivering highly lipophilic molecules. The dermis has numerous structures embedded within it; blood and lymphatic vessels, nerve endings, pilosebaceous units (hair follicles and sebaceous glands), and sweat glands (eccrine and apocrine).

3.The epidermis is itself a complex multiply layered membrane, yet varies in thickness from around 0.06 mm on the eyelids to around 0.8 mm on the load-bearing palms and soles of the feet. The epidermis contains no blood vessels and hence nutrients and waste products must diffuse

across the dermo-epidermal layer in order to maintain tissue integrity.

Likewise, molecules permeating across the epidermis must cross the dermo-epidermal layer in order to be cleared into the systemic circulation. The epidermis contains four histologically distinct layers which, from the inside to the outside, are the stratum germinativum, stratum

spinosum, stratum granulosum and the stratum corneum.

A fifth layer, the stratum lucidum, is sometimes described but is more usually considered to be the lower layers of the stratum corneum. The stratum corneum, comprising anucleate (dead) cells, provides the main barrier to transdermal delivery of drugs and hence is often treated as a

separate membrane by workers within the field. The term ‘viable epidermis’ is often used to describe the underlying layers, although the viability of cells within, for example, the stratum granulosum is questionable as the cell components degrade during differentiation.

4.Epidermal As well as the cellular component of the epidermis, the tissue contains many drug-metabolising enzymes. Histochemical and immunohistochemical methodologies suggest that the majority of these are localised in the epidermis, sebaceous glands and hair follicles. Although present

at relatively small quantities in comparison to the liver, they do allow metabolic activity that can effectively reduce the bioavailability of topically applied medicaments; a common misconception is that the skin is an ‘inert’ tissue. Indeed, most phase 1 (e.g. oxidation, reduction, hydrolysis)

and phase 2 (e.g. methylation, glucuronidation) reactions can occur within the skin, though these tend to be at <10%>

is a large skin surface area, the metabolism of some drugs can be significant.

PREGNANCY TESTS.

Blood tests

1.Blood count

This test screens for anemia, which is very common during pregnancy. Anemia may be due to low iron levels, or can be an inherited form, such as thalassemia.

2.Type of Blood
Test will determine your blood type
as well as show if you are Rhesus positive (Rh+) or negative (Rh-). If you are Rh- you will usually receive a medication called rhogam after medical procedures such as amniocentesis, or if you have vaginal bleeding. You will usually get an extra dose at around 28 weeks.

3.Antibody Screen
This test determines whether you have antibodies that could cross the placenta and cause the baby to become anemic.

4.Hepatitis B
This test will identify women who are actively infectious with hepatitis B, a viral liver disease that can be transmitted to the baby during pregnancy and labor.

5.HIV
This test will identify women who have been infected with the HIV retrovirus.

6.Rubella
This blood test determines whether you are immune to rubella. If you are not, you will usually get vaccinated right after delivery. You cannot have the vaccine during pregnancy.

Syphilis
Syphilis does not always cause symptoms but can cause serious problems for the fetus.

Urine test
This test looks for extra sugar or protein in your urine, and for signs of a urinary tract infection (UTI). Extra protein can be a sign of kidney disease extra sugar may indicate diabetes. UTls will be treated with antibiotics to prevent a serious kidney infection, which can cause pregnancy complications.

Cervical smear
Unless you have had one recently, you may have a cervical smear (PAP smear).

7.Blood pressure
Blood pressure usually falls at the beginning of pregnancy. Women with high blood pressure or blood pressure at the high end of normal early in pregnancy are at increased risk of having blood pressure problems later.

8.Weight
This baseline value will let your care provider calculate how much weight you have gained as your pregnancy progresses, and guide how much weight you need to gain during the pregnancy.

If your are uncertain as to whether you have had chicken pox, a blood test will let you know whether you should stay away from people with this infectious disease while you are pregnant. If you are not immune, and do happen to be exposed, there is treatment to prevent severe chicken pox during pregnancy. If you are African American, Hispanic, or of mediterranean , descent you will have tests for blood disorders such as sickle cell anemia or thalassemia, which are more common in these groups.

Last but not least, you will be given your due date at this appointment (some times called the EDC - estimated date of confinement). Your due date is based on your last menstrual period. Even if you think you know the date you conceived, your last menstrual period is usually the most accurate way to estimate your due date. The exception occurs when you don't remember when your last period was or if you have very irregular periods. In this case, an early ultrasound will be the most accurate way to date your pregnancy. Don't get too attached to your due date remember, it is only an estimate.

Usually your care provider will see you again in 4-6 weeks to review your test results and discuss first trimester screening results. However, your doctor should call you before your second visit if any of the results are abnormal.

FOOT NOTES.

KEEP YOUR FEET LOOKING SWEET.

Summer is the time to put your feet first. Not only are they constantly on show, but they are aslo more prone to problems. This simple foot care routine does not take long-you can try it a couple of times in a week.
Remove obvious hard skin with a pumic stone or sloughing cream. You might need to soak your feet in a bowl of fairly hot water, to soften the dirt and dead skin for fast removal. If you use a foot file rub your skin very gently before rinsing off the flaky residue.
Soak your feet for 5-10 min in a bowl of warm water to which you have added some mineral salts or palm sea salts. Add a couple of drops of lavender essential oil to soothe aches and ease swelling.
Dry your feet well, especially between your toes, trim your toe nails by cutting straight across the tip and sharp corners with an emery board.
Massage your feet with a nourishing cream by cupping your hands oneither side of your foot and using your thumbs, firmly pressing the upper part of your foot while pushing your thumbs outwards.
Grasp each ankle and gently massage the ankle bone in a circular motion to ease away any stiffness.
Wipe off excess grease of your nails and place cotton wool tufts between your toes to keep them separate.
Apply a base coat of nail polish and then cover it with the second coat if required. Whenever you apply nail polish, start in the middle of the nail with one quick stroke and then work outwards.
Wait for at least 1/2 an hour before putting your shoes on.

COFFEE AND HEALTH BENEFITS.

Some confusion begins with the caffeine content found in coffee. It is the caffeine that makes coffee such a stimulating drink. Caffeine gives you a quick energy boost and may even help you focus more on what you are doing and can help you remember details a little better. But caffeine has also been shown to cause health risks when consumed in large amounts.
How much is too much is hotly debated in health circles, and a clear consensus on the allowable amount of caffeine that can be consumed daily without risking health, remains to be reached. Taking a more cautious stance on the suggested amounts of caffeine that can safely consumed however, many health experts do recommend a limiting of no more than 3 cups of caffeinated coffee per day for coffee drinkers, and reducing caffeine intake from other beverages like teas and sodas.Lost in the shadows of all the debating over caffeine in coffee are the health benefits that gourmet coffee, for example, offers.
Gourmet coffee is derived from the seed or bean of the Arabica coffee plant. It has far less caffeine content than the coffee that is made from the seeds of other varieties of the coffee plant. The Arabica coffee plant is typically grown in elevations ranging from 1000 to more than 5,500 feet above sea level, and in regions with rich soils and climates that foster the healthy growth and development of this plant. Because of these conditions, the beans retain higher amounts of their healthy properties while less-desirable properties such as caffeine are reduced. The gourmet coffee bean used in the brewing of gourmet coffee for drinking, is full of antioxidants that offer us protection against the radicals that are present in our bodies and that can make us sick and even make us more susceptible to major conditions like heart disease and cancers. The conditions under which the gourmet coffee bean is grown permits less use of pesticides which are harmful to humans, animals, plants, and the environment. When pesticides are used to control insect infestations and plant diseases, they can infiltrate the plant and remain there even after processing, although usually in lesser amounts.
But consuming pesticides in any amounts from the foods we eat and the beverages we drink is not good for our health. They can cause serious and even deadly risks to our health when consumed regularly because the level of pesticides grows higher than what our bodies has natural defenses to fight. Other harmful substances are often added to foods and drinks made available for consumers to extend shelf life and enhance appearance, and these can harm our health as well. The antioxidant properties in gourmet coffee can help the body to fight off the harmful affects of the pesticide residuals and added substances we ingest from the foods and beverages we consume. Antioxidants help the body to neutralize these radicals before they can develop into serious and deadly diseases. Other properties in gourmet coffee beans have been shown to reduce the risks for developing heart disease for many coffee drinkers who are at higher risk for heart disease.Caffeine can of course give you a quick burst of energy and this is why many people drink coffee. But the other properties in the gourmet coffee bean and present in the brewed coffee we drink interact with chemicals in the brain to elevate mood, and improve powers of concentration and comprehension.
These attributes are viewed as health benefits that can result from the consuming of gourmet coffee.Drinking coffee has long been a social activity and sharing a cup of coffee with a friend or in a group setting benefits us by meeting the basic human need we all have of connecting socially with other human beings. In unfamiliar surroundings and settings, drinking coffee offers the comfort of something familiar to the coffee drinker, which can reduce the stress of being in a new place or with new people. The health benefits gained by drinking gourmet coffee far outweigh the risks associated with caffeine consumption when you take care not to consume more caffeine than is recommended. Two or three cups of gourmet coffee a day should not present a risk to your health. You should be aware of how much caffeine you are consuming daily in other beverages and substitute decaffeinated versions of your favorite gourmet coffee and beverages to keep caffeine consumption levels under control.

KNEE PAIN.

A complex joint, we use our knees for most activities like sitting down, standing up, walking, running, and so on. Being one of the main weight-bearing joints, it bends, straightens, rotates and twists, all of which make it susceptible to overuse or acute knee injuries, resulting in knee pain. Generally speaking, knee pain can be categorized as either acute, or immediate, or chronic knee pain that is long-term. Chronic knee pain can occur due to inflammation, e.g., arthritis, or from injuries, and sometimes because of infection. Knee Injuries

Knee pain can also be caused by injury to the meniscus, bones and cartilage that make up the knee joint. Acute knee injuries are usually caused by falling or twisting the joint. Sports that require fast turning, abrupt stopping, jumping and running like baseball, tennis, basketball, hockey, or soccer increase the chances of acute injury to the knee, resulting in knee pain. Fracture of the knee can also be categorized as an acute knee injury, which can affect any of the bones that make up the knee joint. Fractures in the knee joint is usually serious and may require surgical intervention in order to repair it along with the joint being immobilized by a cast or other forms of support. As for injuries of the ligaments, they are usually treated at first by immobilizing the affected knee and using ice packs, along with elevation and rest. If the injuries are severe, however, open surgery or arthroscopic surgery may be required to alleviate the knee pain. Tears of the meniscus usually need to be repaired by arthroscopic surgery. Overload and knee pain Pain is also caused by overload or over use injuries of the knees such as bursitis, tendonitis, and muscle strain, which can develop slowly over weeks or days. Initially, the knee pain is usually sporadic and mild, which becomes worse with time. When stress is caused on tendons and muscles, it results in tiny tears in them. The pain is caused by the resultant inflammation, which is part of the process of healing. These tears in the muscles and tendons must be given time to heal before performing similar activity that caused them. Overuse knee injuries should be treated promptly in order to prevent the knee pain becoming chronic. The treatment for tendonitis involves immobilizing the knee with the help of a knee brace, ice packs, anti-inflammatory medications, and rest. Later therapeutic exercises can help in rehabilitating the tissues around and in the affected tendon. If a tendon in the knee is ruptured, however, it often requires surgery to repair it.

The treatment of bursitis in the knee is also ice packs, along with anti-inflammatory drugs and immobilization of the knee joint. Corticosteroid injections may also be given at the location, along with physical therapy to strengthen the muscles of the front area of the thigh.
Runners Knee Runners knee is one of the most common causes of knee pain that affects young people. It is felt behind the patella, or the kneecap, and is a diffuse kind of pain. The pain usually worsens after running, jumping, climbing stairs, or after sitting for a period of time. Knee pain caused by runners knee is mainly treated by appropriate physical therapy exercises advised by a physical therapist or doctor. High-impact activity should be avoided in case you are suffering from runners knee.

Pain Caused by Arthritis Knee pain is also caused by various types of arthritis affecting the knee joint, such as osteoarthritis, which is non-inflammatory, wherein the cartilage of the knee degenerates, or the inflammatory kinds of arthritis like gout, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and so on. The treatment of these conditions has to be done according to the requirment of each.

Acne is a skin disorder which has many different forms - from small red dots to large cysts. Most forms of acne can develop from to another. Acne is a very common skin problem, stats show that 25% of adult men suffer from acne and 50% of adult women at some point of their adult live.Acne is popular for being mostly a problem for teenagers, but fact is that even people in their 30s, 40s or sometimes beyond that can suffer from it. In our modern day society, it won't be unfair to say that we are obsessed with good looks, so acne can be really traumatising and lead to depression.
GOOD NEWS.
Is that scientists have put in a lot of work lately and you can tell that by the huge number pf acne skin care products that have become available on the market.People get acne when blocked skin pores prevent the sebum oil from getting to the surface, as a result of which bacteria begins to grow. Acne can be classified as mild, moderate or severe. The treatment depends on the type of acne as each one of those three types requires a different approach. Remember that although acne is absolutely curable, there is no magical product that will cure you in two days. The following tips can help you out. Acne outbreaks are often caused by over-exposure to sun, especially in the summer, therefore try to avoid sun-bathing and always apply sunscreen with a high factor. Since acne occurs when the sebum oil is blocked by clogged pores, always clean your skin and remove dead skin. Acne is totally treatable and there are a lot of products that work, although a lot depends on the individual. Regardless of anything, make sure you read the labels and make sure you only buy products that are free of mineral oil.

WE NEED VITAMENS?

WE REALY WANT EXTRA VITAMENS?

Doctors and nutritional health experts have made the statement that all vitamins are not created equal. There are many inexpensive vitamins on the market that are taken in one small tablet, just once a day. If you study these, you will see that the nutrient count is very small, and they are generally created using synthetic material, binders and fillers. Our bodies were not designed to break down these materials. It's pretty typical to find that you get what you pay for. Millions of dollars are spent almost daily on nutritional supplements here in the U.S. Therefore, if you're going to take the time and spend good money, it's best to try and purchase high quality products. We have taken the time to educate ourselves about the quality and health enhancing effects of supplementation and know how life changing it can be.Please, don't misunderstand. It is still very important to eat an array of colorful fruits and vegetables every day. Whole foods should be our main source of nourishment and supplements are meant to compliment them and take up the slack. This is important, because natural foods contain many different nutrients and enzymes that haven't even been discovered or recognized yet, and may very well assist in the synergistic effect and absorption rate. Our bodies produce thousands of free radicals every day. In addition to this onslaught, we live in a toxic environment, endure high stress, and make bad food choices. All of these take a toll on our bodies ability to thrive. Supplementation simply gives us additional nutrients to remain healthy and assists our immune system in reversing the damaging affects of modern life.

FAST AND PROCESSED FOOD

Processed food products are beautifully boxed, canned, and packaged to entice the consumer. They are at our fingertips in grocery stores, quickie marts, gas stations and just about everywhere else. These fake foods are widely promoted to appeal to our senses. And the large add campaigns make them appear to look good, smell good, taste good. We're led to believe they are safe for human consumption and we all eat them almost every day (well, almost all of us). Ever heard of the term overfed and undernourished?Research has proven that through the manufacturing process many vital nutrients are lost. With the addition of added ingredients to make them more palatable and have longer shelf life (Hydrogenated oils, trans-fats, monosodium glutamate/msg, sodium nitrate, aspartame, etc.), processed food can become problematic to our health.

FAST FOOD

Restaurants of Fast Food are everywhere. Most of us eat these foods and this is okay on occasion, but many people eat the majority of their meals from fast food restaurants. If you do this long enough you're headed for ill health. Some fast food chains are adding healthier items to their menus and this will continue as we the consumers keep demanding more healthy foods, but of course that really isn't the solution to good health. As we stated above, eating processed and fast food can be okay on occasion. But do to the lack of quality nutrients it doesn't take long before signs of nutritional deficiencies begin to show via declining health. Eating as close to what God has provided for us is imperative. Eating good clean select meats (without hormones and antibiotics), plenty of colorful fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds will put you on the right tract for good health. Adding good quality nutritional supplements to take up the slack will certainly be additionally beneficial.
